Contact
Rain Urbana improves when readers write in. A confusing paragraph, an outdated detail or a question we had never considered: all of these have changed articles on this site for the better, so please do get in touch.
Our address
The whole team shares one inbox: reach@rainurbana.com. Vashti, Pernille and Lowell all read it, and whoever wrote the article you are asking about will usually be the one to reply.
We write alongside other work, so replies can take several days and occasionally longer. There is no telephone line, office or postal address for readers; email lets a small team give each message proper attention.
Messages that help us most
- Corrections. Tell us the page, the sentence and what you think is wrong. A link to the guidance you are relying on is welcome.
- Topic ideas. If you searched for something and could not find a clear answer, we would like to hear about it. Some of our current ideas are on Themes on Our Radar.
- Feedback. Whether an article helped, confused you or felt too long, it tells us how to write the next one.
What we cannot do
We are not able to answer personal medical, dental or medication questions, look at symptoms or photos, or recommend a particular clinic or practitioner. That is not a brush-off; it simply would not be safe for writers without clinical training to try. Your GP, pharmacist or dentist is the right person to ask, and many health services offer advice lines as well. Please read Read This Before Acting for more on this.
If your question is urgent, please contact your local emergency number or out-of-hours service rather than emailing us.
How we handle what you send
When you point out a mistake, the writer responsible checks it against current guidance and a second team member reads the change before it goes live. If you would like to know when the fix is made, say so in your message and we will let you know. Topic suggestions go onto a shared list that we review whenever we plan the next set of articles.
Before you write
Your question may already be answered on Questions From Readers. And if you want to know how we look after the details you send, see our Privacy Notice. In short, we use your email only to reply and to fix an article if needed.
